Do girls like muscles?
Please allow me to answer this question by quoting girls I have been in bed with, by eliminating the lie that you need to look like a fitness model to get girls and by sharing my own transformation from a skinny blade of grass into a guy who can at least stand without falling over.
As a little bonus I share my top secret workout routine with you.
This is going to be a long and detailed article about the correlation between muscles and your success with women and without a certain email, this article would have never been written. In case you wonder whether or not hitting the gym will get you laid, you can thank one of my most loyal readers for inspiring me to write the following lines.
Yesterday, I got an email from one of my readers in which he asked me about the correlation between having a muscular physique and attracting beautiful women into your life. Apparently he got the impression that I look pretty muscular on the picture on my about page.
Well, that’s why I decided to use a photo of my arms and not one of my legs. I honestly can’t get rid of my chicken legs, so please don’t ask me how to get legs like trees. Let me know if you have the secret.
However, my upper body looks pretty good (besides my terribly ugly 30cm scar) and if I continue doing push ups I might need a bra in the next few months.
Before I am going to tell you why and especially how I got my biceps, I want to answer one question that 99% of men who have more fat than muscles ask themselves.
The Fitness Model Disclaimer
“Do I NEED muscles to attract women?”
No, you don’t.
Muscles are nothing but a nice bonus.
The reason why I want to make this clear from the beginning is pretty simple. I already know that I’ll get at least three emails from guys who read this article, in which they ask me if it is impossible to ever get girls, if you are not a professional bodybuilder.
It’s the same with guys who ask me if it is possible for them to attract beautiful women, even though they look average or even below average. It is sad that our superficial society conditioned so many men to believe that they won’t ever get the girl of their dreams if they don’t look like one of the cast members of Gossip Girls.
Once and for all:
Good looks are a bonus and not a requirement for your success with the ladies!
I know so many guys who are not that good looking and who still have a lot of success with women. Just look at guys like Johnny Soporno. He doesn’t look like a Greek god and he is together with one of the most famous stars in the world.
It is really important to me that you don’t give up on your dream to spend your life with amazing women, just because you don’t look like a fitness model. Yes, building muscles has some benefits (especially for your inner game), but it is not a requirement for your success.
Please do yourself and me a favor and don’t use your fat belly as an excuse for not taking action.
Now the rant is officially over.
Do Girls Like Muscles?
I can tell you from my own experience that getting ripped and building muscles has a bigger effect on your inner game, than it has on your external world.
There are too many guys who believe that muscles are the ultimate solution for all your dating problems. This is not true. I also know why this belief is so widespread. You just have to look at popular TV shows and movies.
The muscular guy with the six pack is always the one who gets laid while the skinny geek has to humiliate himself to get lucky.
You can watch Ben Stiller eating peanuts from the street. You won’t ever see Vin Diesel doing the same.
As a result of this social conditioning it’s very easy to believe that you can only get girls if you look like the lovechild of Jay Cutler and Dwayne Johnson.
In reality not all women dream about being banged by a guy whose forearms are bigger than her whole body.
You can ask hundred girls the same question and you’ll get hundred different answers:
Some Girls are Disgusted by Bodybuilders
There are some girls who are actually disgusted by the thought of jumping in bed with a guy who could lift a car with his own hands. I know a lot of girls who are afraid of the bodies of professional bodybuilders.
About three months ago I have been on a date with a girl who told me that I have to stop working out if I want to see her again. I am still very skinny and the last thing I would describe myself as is a bodybuilder, but for her my biceps and my A-cups were already too much.
Not all women are drawn towards the Arnold Schwarzenegger’s of this world.
Swomen are already turned off by a body that could decorate the cover of a Men’s health magazine.
Every human being has a different taste. You might be more into Asian girls, while the guy next to you is incredibly attracted to black girls. It’s the same with women. The next girl you meet might want to cuddle with your beer belly, while she would be repulsed by a belly that’s harder than your dick.
Some Girls Get Ready By Looking at Bodybuilders
The shocking truth is that there are girls who are turned off by muscular guys. However, there are also a lot of girls who absolutely love muscular guys. She’s definitely one of them:
There are some logical (at least for the female logic) and some animalistic reasons why women are attracted to guys with muscles that we are going to look at in the following paragraphs.
It happened to me a few times that a girl stared at my biceps or at my chest, before she gave me a seductive looks.
There are indeed some girls who are incredibly turned on by muscular guys. My girlfriend is one of those girls. Grabbing my biceps during sex makes her go wild like a python.
The mistake that sexually frustrated skinny guys tend to make is to judge those girls for their preference. Just because a girl is into muscular guys doesn’t mean that she is stupid, superficial and just because a guy has muscles doesn’t mean that he is a retarded jerk.
Accept that some girls love muscular guys and stop using false stereotypes as an excuse for your own misery.
Some Girls Don’t Give a Beep
Do girls like muscles?
There are girls who absolutely hate muscular guys and who prefer a well-fed belly and there are girls who play while thinking about going Down on Dwayne Johnson. However, there is also a third category of girls.
There are the ones who just don’t give a beep.
Accepting the fact that there are girls who don’t give a beep about whether or not you put in all the hard work can be very frustrating, especially when you are like me and you spend a lot of time in the gym.
Even though it is frustrating to find out that some women won’t appreciate the sweat and the hemorrhoids that you got from squeezing like a maniac on the leg press, accepting it is quite liberating.
Now you can allow yourself to stop going to the gym because you want to impress girls and to start going there because you want to do it for yourself.
I just realized that I should have said this melodramatic sentence at another point. Why? Because we are going to have a look at all the reasons y why girls actually like muscles, before we look at the benefits that going to the gym has for your inner game.
Firsthand Reasons Why Girls Like Muscles
Do girls like muscles?
Some do and there are actually a few good reasons why.
It happened to me quite a few times that a girl laid her head on my chest after we had sex. Whenever she then started to squeeze and to caress my beautiful boobies, I asked her about her thoughts.
Whenever a girl embraced my thin legs and told me how much she wants to lick them, I did the same thing. Just kidding, no girl has ever given me a compliment on my chicken legs.
However, it also happened a few times that I was on a date with a girl and at some point we linked arms. When she then grabbed my biceps and looked at me in a submissive way, I also asked her about her thoughts.
That’s how I found out the true reasons why some girls like muscles.
All I did was asking and all the answers that I received from the girls I have shared a bed with can be put in the following four categories. There were only two girls who have been honest enough to reveal reason number four.
Muscles are Weapons
Every single one of your muscles is a weapon. If you have strong arms you can punch. If you have strong legs you can kick. Muscles are symbols of strength and there are quite a few women who are attracted to these symbols.
No woman really cares if you can life 50 kilo or 55 kilo on the bench press, but the same woman cares about whether or not you could protect her in dangerous situations.
We human beings are nothing but animals.
Even though we learned all those fancy things like how to build status symbols that are completely useless and how to destroy the planet we live on (we are so brilliant), we are still slaves to our animal instincts.
You can call yourself the most logical and sophisticated human being on the planet, your animal instincts are still taking over as soon as a naked girl stands in front of you. Women have those animal instincts too.
Your instincts tell you that you should look for a hot girl who has the perfect body to pop out some pretty babies. Her instincts tell her to look for a man who is able to protect her and the pretty babies she pops out.
Her instincts don’t know that there are inventions, such as weapons and child support that allow her to protect herself. As soon as her p gets wet, her brain is in Stone Age mode.
Now she is looking for a guy who can carry the biggest cudgel and in order to carry the biggest cudgel, you need big muscles.
Physical Strength = Emotional Strength
In case you are familiar with my writing you know that I often talk about the importance of emotional strength. I already mentioned a few times that women appreciate the emotional strength of a guy a lot more than his physical strength.
As you know by now there are indeed girls who aren’t attracted to muscular guys, but I have never met a girl who wasn’t attracted to an emotionally strong guy.
The tricky thing is that a lot of women automatically assume that a guy who is physically strong is also emotionally strong. I honestly met a lot of girls who confirmed this suspicion. No wonder that they are attracted to guys with big muscles.
It is very easy to think that way.
If you are really honest, you also think that a strong and bulky bodybuilder doesn’t cry as easy as the skinny guy with the band shirt. The belief that muscular guys are hard as stone and that being hard on the outside equals being hard on the inside is nothing but a stereotype.
It’s a stereotype that a lot of girls believe,
The Correlation Between Testosterone and Attraction
Going to the gym and lifting heavy weights naturally increases your testosterone level. Do I really have to say more?
You can’t deny the fact that women are naturally attracted to men with high levels of testosterone. It’s no coincidence that some women get wet when they see a guy with big muscles. It’s simple biology.
There are many ways to increase your testosterone level and one of them is lifting weights. The more you go to the gym and the more muscles you build, the higher are your chances to increase your testosterone level. This can make you irresistible to women.
I deliberately say that it CAN make you irresistible to women. Even though I believe that testosterone can make you more attractive, I disagree with the people who say that it is the main determining factor for your success with women.
I am the proof that it is not.
Even though I probably raised my testosterone level through the countless hours I spent in the gym, I still have a very low overall testosterone level. My voice is not the deepest, I look like a 16 year old boy and growing a proper beard would take me one year and five months.
Nevertheless, I am quite successful with the ladies.
Keep in mind that becoming a successful Global Seducer requires more than raising your testosterone level.
The Real Reasons Why I Decided to Built Muscle
Now you know that building muscles is not everything when it comes to seducing women, but that it isn’t wrong to visit the gym from time to time. In fact, there are many benefits that lifting weights brings along that are not related to your success with women, at least not directly.
I wouldn’t go as far as to say that hitting the gym changed my whole life, but it definitely contributed to my overall happiness level. Every repetition and every progress taught me a lot about my boundaries and about my motivation to overcome these boundaries.
You might not want to hear it but hitting the gym is way better for your inner game than wasting your days on the couch watching TV shows that steadily kill one bran cell after another.
I Wanted to Feel Confident With My Body
When I decided to gain muscle I didn’t even think about improving my chances with the ladies. All I wanted was to feel confident with my body. From a young age on I was always the skinniest kid in school. Even though I built some muscle within the last year, I am still underweight. I eat like a maniac but my genetic don’t allow me to gain weight.
If I wouldn’t hit the gym, you wouldn’t even see me on pictures. I had enough of being thin as a rake. I wanted to be seen on pictures, I wanted to be seen by women and I wanted to look at myself in the mirror with a feeling of pride. That’s why I decided to go to the gym.
I didn’t do it for some girl who might or might not be attracted to me. I did it for myself.
The more results I saw, the more confident I got in my own skin. It was amazing to see the results of hard and dedicated work. In the process of building muscle I increased my confidence and my motivation to achieve more.
The Results Motivated Me
Finding out that I could transform my body the way I wanted was a huge motivating factor for me. I know that it sounds stupid but for the first time in years I had the feeling that I had the full control over my life. I was the one who decided how my body should look like. Once I knew that I had the power to transform my body, I was convinced that I also had the power to transform my dating life.
Going to the gym gave me the feeling that I was responsible for the outcomes that I achieved.
I would have never thought that lifting a few weights would have had such a massive impact on my motivation to meet girls.
Of course feeling confident in my own skin was one contributing factor to my increased motivation, but that was by far not all. This feeling of “I can accomplish anything I put my mind to” gave me the kick in the behind that I needed to go out and to meet more women.
I Became Addicted to the Pump
When I first watched the video of Arnold Schwarzenegger in which he described the power of THE PUMP I was a bit skeptical. Watch the following video to see him comparing this feeling with…
At first I thought he took drugs before this interview, but the more often I went to the gym, the more I understood what he meant. He was not the only one who became addicted to the pump.
It’s an incredible feeling and once you experience it in the gym, you also want to experience it inside of a woman.
Thanks to all the sexy girls in tight yoga pants I was motivated enough to also experience the pump in my bedroom.
It’s Fun as Hell
Do you want to know the main reason why I still go to the gym? It’s not because I asked myself “do girls like muscles?” and it’s not because I still have some self-esteem issues in terms of my body. I feel completely confident in my own skin and I know that I would be able to attract amazing women into my life, even if I would lose all my muscles overnight.
The real reason why I continue to grow my chest to a nice C-Cup is because it’s fun as hell.
For me going to the gym is about fun. It allows me to grow (personally and physically), to challenge myself and to enjoy the process of building my dream body.
The combination of motivation, confidence, addiction, achievement and fun are the true reasons why you should go to the gym. The fact that quite a few girls are attracted to muscles is just a bonus. Indeed, a very nice bonus.

Summed Up Wisdom
Do girls like muscles? First of all you have to understand that you don’t necessarily need muscles to attract women. Muscles are like a pretty face. It’s a bonus and not a requirement for your success with women.
Some girls absolutely love muscular guys and others don’t like it at all when a beer belly gets replaced with a six pack. The third category of women just doesn’t give a beep if you have a six pack or a one pack.
Nevertheless, there are some good reasons why women are attracted to guys with muscles. Women instinctively assume that guys with a bulky physique are the perfect protectors. They also assume that a guy who is physically strong is automatically emotionally strong. Lifting weights naturally increases your testosterone level and that’s exactly what girls are subconsciously looking for. Most girls won’t admit it but many innocent angels assume that a muscular guy can sleep with them more intensely.
Why did I start to lift weights? It had nothing to do with the question “do girls like muscles?” but with my decision to increase the quality of my life. For me it was about the confidence, the motivation, the achievement and the fun. Those were the reasons why I continued with it and why I still enjoy the pump.

I made the same experience. From a genetical point of view I am nothing but a blade of grass. I made the same change as you made. I also changed my diet from noodles and sweet stuff to chicken and rice (thanks Thailand!) and my body started to change. Of course I also put in the work in the gym, but the way you eat is a huge factor. Using your job as a way to work out is great, at least if you work in a physcially demanding job. And yes, you got it. You wanted to do it for YOU. And this is the kind of attitude that you also need in every other aspect of personal development (like dating and seduction).

Thanks for the honest and straightforward article, as always. I wanted to note that I completely understand the point you made about doing it for yourself and your confidence, and not to seek approval from others. I agree 100%.
I was a tall skinny guy through school, and I always looked disdainfully on guys who were in great physical shape because it made me feel insecure. That was years ago, before my self confidence grew and my insecurities and fears disappeared. My job (yeah, I’m not quite on the level of traveling the globe on a mission to hunt down beautiful women yet) can be very physical. I started eating very clean, whole, and natural foods, and looking for every excuse to push myself and my body at work. By pushing myself to the limit every day and eating large amounts of protein like tuna, salmon, venison, beef, chicken, etc. I rapidly started to change. 6 months of doing that and I could beat the hell out of my old self without breaking a sweat. I’m by no means a bodybuilder/tank of a man, but I’ve gained a significant amount of muscle by simply eating proper food and doing my job, and now I feel great about the way I look, which has been huge for my confidence. I thought that the possibility of using your job to get in shape instead of the gym was something worth sharing, since my job tends to make me physically tired to the point of laughing at the idea of the gym.
I suddenly saw my progress and wanted to do more. Not for the women (though I’d be flat out lying if I said it didn’t cross my mind and motivate me further), not for social acceptance, but for MY OWN CONFIDENCE. Great point Sebastian.

For the exercises: start with very low weights, otherwise you get injured.
Indeed, some self-proclaimed “alpha men” have the problem that you mentioned. They try to be as alpha as possible and scare away the girls they approach.
Yes but it’s also a fact that if you spend 10 hours a week doing sport, you are less likely to read books (for example), most of people have a limited amount of free time.
” I started with weights that were a lot lower. I guess I have doubled my weight within a period of one to two years.” lol ok, because, for example, i tried the biceps curl exercise with 10 Kg and i was totally unable to do 10 reps…so i will follow the same program but with lower weights.
If you managed to double the weights in only one to two years, that’s very encouraging !
I guess the diet is also important.
” Muscles are Weapons”
I was thinking, maybe that’s why some women like it, and other not.
At a subconscious or conscious level, if a woman trusts men, if she sees men as protector, she will be aroused by physical strength.
But if she sees men as a danger and distrust them (for example if her mother were beaten) she will prefer a physically weak man.
Ok thanks !
Sebastian Harris says
thanks for the compliment 😉
of course there are some sportive guys who have never read a book. All I wanted to say is that you shouldn’t generalize it.
I started with weights that were a lot lower. I guess I have doubled my weights within a period of one to two years.
Sebastian Harris says
I usually go Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
Also do you gave a rest day after the day 3 or do you start again at the day 1 ?
Thanks for the work 🙂 Of course, i wasn’t saying that your success is due to your musculation 😉
Being well drawn is just as important than boobs and ass for a woman (also personally in fact it’s not that important for me, 90% of the physical attractiveness comes from the face and the facial expressions for me, or i wouldn’t be into Asian women).
” just because a guy has muscles doesn’t mean that he is a retarded jerk.”
Well honestly, i’m not talking about you because given your way of life you have some freedom and it’s obvious when we read you that you are extremely smart, but if like most of people, somebody spend 8 hours a day at work + transportation + at least 1h in front of a tv (most sportive guys spend a lot of time watching the sport channel and other dumb things) + social activities, you have to choose between going to the gym at least 5 to 10 hours a week, and for example reading books…most of sportive guys aren’t very smart and educated, fact.
Just one question about your routine, did you start with those same weight or did you rise them as you gain muscles ?
